I had an awesome experience learning lind boarding with Hamish! He was a great instructor—patient, knowledgeable,  funny, and made me feel comfortable from the start. He explained everything clearly and gave me the confidence to really go for it. I also really appreciated the camera footage he got of me! By the end, I was flying across the water at around 40 mph, which was an unreal experience. You can tell Hamish genuinely enjoys teaching and wants you to have a great time while staying safe. Hamish gave me a top notch beginner e foil lesson today.  Excellent calm lake location near PCB , FL.  High quality equipment including helmet headset comm and drone to keep a close eye on me. Everything was first rate.  Highly recommend! Extra comments:  Standing was easier than expected but flying mode takes some getting used to.  Good luck, and have fun! If you're thinking about trying eFoiling, I can't recommend Hamish and Emerald Wake in PCB enough! Hamish made the entire experience absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to make sure we felt comfortable every step of the way. One of the best parts was that we were mic'd up during the lesson. Being able to hear Hamish's real-time guidance while out on the water made learning so much easier and much more effective. Incredible learning experience with a great instructor. We covered everything. Going over the equipment and science, practice on the ground, then progressively moving forward step by step in the water. Hamish did an amazing job teaching us and I was up and flying an hour in. The radio helmet instruction was a huge help, as the drone video footage he also took was a big bonus take away. I heard about Emerald Wake demoing FLIGHT E Foils and decided to stop by the beach to learn more. That is where I met Hamish. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming, and offered to let me try out their equipment. He and his team quickly assessed my experience level and set me up with the right board. Their instruction was clear and effective, and I was up and riding much faster than I expected. I would absolutely recommend anyone in the area to take lessons or shop for a new E Foil with Emerald Wake. I had such an awesome experience today! I was at the beach getting ready to go paddle boarding when I noticed the company emerald wake had a guy out on an eFoil do a demo and was just casually talking with my family about how cool (and probably difficult) it looked. One of the guys, Ben, overheard me and came over to chat. He was super friendly, explained how everything worked, and even offered to give me a quick lesson and let me try it out. I honestly didn’t expect to get on one at all, but I’m so glad I did—it was an absolute blast! Ben made it feel easy and comfortable, even as a complete beginner. I also had the chance to meet the owner, Hamish, who was just as friendly and welcoming. He offers lessons and truly cares about making sure people have a great/safe experience. If you’ve even thought about eFoiling, stop overthinking it and go straight to Emerald Wake. My first time out with Hamish absolutely blew me away. He’s the kind of instructor who makes you feel confident right away, even if you’ve never done anything like this before. What really takes it to another level is the live coaching. You’re connected through a helmet and headset, so he’s guiding you the whole time, adjusting you in real time, and helping you get up faster than you think you will. And then there’s the drone. He’s literally filming you while you’re out there, and you get the footage afterward. It’s such an unreal bonus and honestly makes the whole experience feel next level. I went in thinking this would just be something fun to try once… and walked away completely hooked. It was better than I could’ve imagined. Hamish is amazing at teaching efoiling! My 15 yr old son wanted to learn. Hamish came equipped with the ability to talk through the headsets/helmets and had a drone so that when my son was out on the board far away, he could give exact tips to make him successful. In a 2 hour lesson, my son went from first-timer to standing up and surfing on plane to levitating high on the water (I don’t know the vocabulary!) He can’t wait to do it again! We booked a session for my husband and teenage son to try our efoiling (my husband wanted to test one out before considering purchasing one of his own).  My teenager got sick at the last minute and I came in his place.  I was NOT keen on learning how to efoil, and wasn't looking forward to it.  But Hamish was AMAZING!  He walked us through everything on land first... and then got my husband up on his board first before helping me.   That individual support at first was really helpful.  He was incredibly patient, calm, and helped us gradually get more comfortable on the boards. He knew when to coach and help us... and when to back off and just let us ride or chat with each other.  We loved the headsets (which allowed us to talk to Hamish - and each other - while we were far out on the lake).  The drone caught awesome footage and allowed Hamish to see exactly what we were doing out on the lake, so he could help us troubleshoot as we tried new things. We loved getting photos and videos of us afterwards, too!  Going in, I was NOT interested in getting an efoil.  But I have to say, this made me really excited about getting one eventually.  And my husband had an amazing time, and it only confirmed his interest in a board.  We were supposed to book with a different efoil company but they never called us back.  This is how we found ourselves with Emerald Wake... and boy, are we glad it worked out that way!  It was the perfect experience for us.  We really appreciated Hamish's calm manner, his excitement and passion for the boards, and his willingness to answer any question we sent his way. I’m 72 years old and Hamish assured me I’d get up on a Fliteboard and in one lesson I was up learning to adjust my foot position and touch and go foiling. Second lesson he had me sustain foiling.The learning curve was eased by Hamish’s patient instruction, head set in helmet, drone showing my foot position. I have work to do but it’s a great work out. You’re in good hands with Emerald Wake. It’s a tremendous value, instruction, board, jacket, helmet, video to prove to your children you did it, no hidden extras. Hamish recommended knee pads to protect my skin. Esthetically it’s not stylish, but it served an important purpose. Have fun, I highly recommend it. It’s now February, I’m a year older, and last September was my first FliteBoard success with Hamish and Emerald Wake. If you're interested in learning how to eFoil, I cannot recommend Emerald Wake strongly enough. I first met the owner, Hamish, over a year ago and have eFoiled with him many times. I'd already been eFoiling for a couple years, but since becoming friends, I've learned a lot about the sport and am now a much better rider thanks to him. I've attended several events with Hamish, met his customers and business partners at Flite.  There's a great and growing eFoiling community - everyone is very supportive and love to share the fun with others. Hamish is a consummate professional, and his teaching program is second-to-none. After trying a friend's board I had to have one.  Got a fliteboard setup from them and the experience was awesome.  Super helpful in making sure I had the right setup and answered all my questions (there were lots!).   Really responsive.. made sure I got everything set up once it got here. Hamish has an incredible set up with drones watching you as he guides you through a headset in the helmet. I went from never foiling to standing in 1 lesson! Having an expert in my ear advising slight changes in footing and positioning cut my learning curve in half. The sensation of being on foil is unlike anything I’ve ever tried and I’m hooked!! What an amazing experience.  My 16 year old had a blast. Hamish was so great and detailed with instruction.  He has quite the set up. He communicates with them through ear piece and instructed them while watching them with a drone. It was Amazing. We were sent pics and video he took. It was the best location - smooth!  We will Be back in November and can’t wait.  We brought a few chairs and umbrella and it was perfect to observe.  Thank you Hamish for such a fun day - we loved meeting you. Hamish and his team at Emerald Wake are great to work with. My wife and I went to a demo at Lake Powell and they were laid back, friendly, fantastic at instructing, and then let us have fun on the boards. Definitely wear your helmet and life vest!
