We’ve been eFoiling for a while now, and our stoke for the sport keeps growing! Recently, we held a demo at Lake Powell in Panama City Beach, FL, where we had an incredible turnout. Safety should always come first when you’re out on the water. Your and your family’s safety on the water should always be the first thing on your mind. Having the right gear is crucial. Investing in a reliable impact vest and helmet protects you from unexpected falls and gives you the confidence to let loose and have fun on the water. ICS Racers Tape (Helicopter Tape): Protect potential impact areas from scratches or damage. When setting boards up on concrete, you’ll notice certain points, like the nose of the board, that are prone to getting scratched by rocks or whatever else is on the ground. Adding helicopter tape to the high-wear areas will keep your eFoil looking fresh no matter where you’re riding or setting up.
Emerald Wake Explorer Portable Shower: This portable shower has been a game-changer for the team. Using this in the parking lot means no more sandy cars and easy eFoil maintenance post-session. It’s perfect for rinsing off saltwater, sand, dirt, or whatever else gets on you and your eFoil after a long day on the water. Good maintenance goes a long way in the lifespan of your eFoil. Spares Kit: Keep your spare screws, Tef-Gel, WD-40, and silicone lube organized for easy access whenever needed. Tef-Gel goes a long way in preventing screws and other parts from seizing up. While most eFoil like Fliteboard uses anodized aluminum or other resistant materials like high-modulus Japanese carbon fiber, we still stick to the fundamentals. If something can stick, we keep Tef-Gel on hand, as it’s good practice for hydrofoil maintenance. If you got into the foil game before eFoils, you would know the pain of leaving a foil assembled in the garage all winter only to discover everything is seized and needs to be drilled out and re-tapped. While this level of care isn’t mandatory, with proper care, we still love to keep Tef-Gel on hand to go the extra mile.
Torque Driver Tool: Ensure that wing and fuselage screws aren’t overtightened with this handy tool. Hand tools are great, but they can be painful. If there is a faster, easier, more effective way to get the job done right, a Torque Driver tool is the ticket. Our Team particularly likes this when setting up multiple eFoils for demos.
